What a month it has been!
Since publishing my first newsletter I have been inundated with emails, texts and FB messages of support and congratulations from friends and previous clients – NOTE no phone-calls from anyone, but that’s just the day and age we live in ;)
I have spent the last month in Florida, USA. I began my trip in Orlando where I attended the annual ANA Masters of Marketing conference. What an event that was!
Gary Vaynerchuck is my new professional crush. To some he is crass and too “in ya face’. To me, he is a breath of fresh air - real and to the point. Two years ago, I had never heard of him. Today, he is everywhere I look. He is the author of the book I had to read for my course at UCLA, he has been the main speaker at several industry conferences I have attended, and his face is following me on almost every social media platform. I swear everywhere I turn, there is @GaryVee
From Orlando I headed to Miami and participated in a personal development program, iDiscover360. I had booked this back in May, long before I had visited the Peruvian jungle. I thought I had already figured ‘everything’ out, but as it transpired, no. No, I really hadn’t.
This intensive 42 hours was the cherry on the cake of my sabbatical. The last 7 months I had purely collected the dots, this course enabled me to connect the dots to a level I never imagined possible. I absolutely recommend this course to anyone looking to move forward in life, not knowing how or what’s holding them back. This course will set you free ;)
What an incredible experience!
It was admittedly a little somber due to the election result, but it was still absolutely mind-blowing. Such great content, a rich diverse mix of speakers, incredibly inspiring people, friends that feel like family, music and creative talent so on point it was amazing. Oh, and did I mention how much fun it was?!
I had eye contact with Quentin Tarantino, shared a hot tub with Ruby Wax and had countless amazing conversations with fellow entrepreneurs wanting to change the world. Some of us are well ahead in the game and are already having a significant positive impact on the world, some of us are just starting out. But the most important thing is that we all WANT to make a difference to the world. It’s not just about becoming rich for the sake of it. This new generation of business moguls puts a high priority of giving back. Which, in my opinion, is what it’s all about.
My trip to the USA ended with a beautiful super moon, 13th November. What an incredible sight. I was lucky enough to see the moon light up the sky from Miami and also from Playa Del Carmen the following evening. WOW is an understatement.
And now, I am back in Mexico. Let's see what adventure the next few weeks have in store.
Have a great month wherever you are in the world. Looking forward to hearing your updates over the coming days and to seeing you /speaking with you before The Holidays :)
